Asphodel and Wormwood

Hello. It's me. Samantha Watson. Scribbles. It's been weeks. Months, actually. But I have returned.

"And then I ask myself, but how could they have believed I would not rise again?" - Voldemort

And speaking of Harry Potter (as I usually am), the first thing Snape ever says to Harry is, "Potter! What would I get if I added powdered root of asphodel to an infusion of wormwood?"

Ahem. Now it's time to...

Okay. First of all, Asphodel is a type of lily that symbolizes death.

And second, wormwood is a bitter plant that typically symbolizes remorse.

So Severus Snape was telling Harry Potter that he felt deep remorse for the death of Lily.
